Concerned Community 4 Change is a group of educators, activists, social workers, moms and dads, physicians and concerned citizens who have come together to address the deeply disconcerting trends of our youth. These trends include childhood obesity, academic failure and under achievement.

Our mission is to provide a mechanism for at-risk youth to make positive, healthy decisions for themselves.
Our Vision
Our vision is to engage our youth by providing programs that put positive principles into practice. By providing programs that build healthy minds, bodies and spirits we will produce well balanced adults that will be able to handle the challenges of today and tomorrow.

James Mcdougal, Executive Director
James Mcdougal is the Founder and Executive Director of Concerned Community 4 Change Sports Mentoring Program. After working 8 years to help implement the NYC recycling program he left NYC to attend Kennesaw State University in Georgia. In 2005, he returned home to Brooklyn to face some of the worst conditions in his community such as youth violence, educational underachievement and obesity.
In January 2009, James brought together educators, community activists, sports coaches and concerned parents to form Concerned Community 4 Change. Our mission is to address some of the disconcerting conditions in our community using sports. James is also a graduate of CUNY System Bachelor of Social Work. Board Certified CPHT 2006. Played Basketball @ Kingsborough Community College CUNY, Former President of The Brooklyn Chapter of National Action Network, Senior Advisor to Head Count Voter Registration Organization ,Co-President of " More Than A Moment " A national civil action organization based in Atlanta . Lynne Jennings, Board Chairperson
Lynne is a New York State Licensed Physicians Assistant with 20 years of experience. Lynne's focus is on obesity and healthy lifestyle living. She is a graduate of Touro College.

A Queens native who has been part of the NYC sports community since junior high school. She is a graduate of Concordia College and a former women's basketball assistant coach at Nicholls State University and The Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Rodney Carr, Director of Basketball/Special Events
Rodney is a native Brooklynite. With his many years of basketball coaching experience, he has brought a new excitement to our organization. He started the girls high school basketball tournament and a back to school event that provides students with free school supplies. He is presently coaching at Boys &
Girls High School.
